Why does your skin get so dry?
Dry skin is caused by the loss of natural moisture and oils. Conventional (artificial) moisturizing lotions and skin creams attempt to address this by saturating the skin with petroleum or wax-based substances that quickly wear off as soon as you rub against something or wash.
Have you ever stopped using a conventional (artificial) moisturizing lotion or skin cream only to discover that your skin was drier than it was before you started using it?
When you apply artificial moisturizing lotions and skin creams to the skin’s surface you are essentially telling your brain that the skin is being adequately moisturized, when in fact it is actually dehydrated of natural moisture. While artificial moisturizing lotions and skin creams address the symptoms of dry skin, the root cause of the problem persists and the only real solution is the skin’s own natural moisture and oil. However, as the skin is not producing sufficient amounts of natural moisture or oil, the skin grows more and more dry.
How to improve a dry skin condition?
In order for moisture to actually resolve a dry skin condition, as opposed to simply masking the symptoms, the moisture needs to penetrate the second major layer of skin. Artificial moisturizers, which are typically petroleum or wax-based, merely sit on the surface of your skin. In reality, the only moisture that will reach this level in sufficient enough quantities to resolve a dry skin problem over the long term is your skin’s own natural moisture.
A far better solution is to assist your skin in producing more natural moisture — not less.
Until recently, the only way to combat a dry skin condition was to apply conventional (artificial) moisturizers, lotions or body creams, which are only designed to temporarily mask dry skin by placing artificial moisture over the top of it. The long-term effect is that your skin develops a dependency on these artificial moisturizers. That is why your skin goes through a period of being drier once you stop using these artificial moisturizers than it was before you started using them.
Gloves In A Bottle® — SOLUTION.
Unlike ineffective artificial moisturizers, Gloves In A Bottle is a Shielding Lotion that bonds with the outermost layer of skin cells to turn it into what works like an invisible pair of gloves.
These “invisible gloves” prevent dry skin by helping to keep moisture-robbing irritants out while better retaining your skin’s own natural moisture, resulting in skin that is far better hydrated, over the long term, than what can ever be achieved by conventional lotions.
“Our staff absolutely love Gloves in A Bottle®! We had quite a few staff who were having such a difficult time with their skin and hand washing with soap and water or alcohol gel was just painful. It’s amazing how many of them have used your product and their hands have actually been able to heal while they continued to provide care.”

Many household and workplace chemicals, and even cosmetics and fragrances are absorbed directly into the skin, often causing skin disorders or just plain cracked, dry skin. When cleaning, cooking or participating in activities from gardening to painting, skiing to fishing, or exposure to harsh weather, you are exposed to elements that contribute to dry skin or irritated skin.
If you do not or cannot wear gloves or if glove use causes irritation, it is far better to wear Gloves In A Bottle than nothing at all. When glove use is strictly required, of course you must wear gloves but Gloves In A Bottle provides a secondary and/or temporary line of defense in cases such as glove breakage or when irritants might splash into the gloves.*
One application of Gloves In A Bottle lasts four hours or more and comes off naturally as you exfoliate the outer most layers of skin cells.
