Sewing Hand’s Plight? Dry Hands!

Sewing Hand’s Plight? Dry Hands!

I love to sew, but I hate sewing with dry hands. It is one of the greatest Seamstress plights, and I am honestly sick of it! Our Sewing Hands are our greatest tool, aside from the sewing machine, we have to take care of them! I am tired of hangnails snagging on nice fabric, sore hands on rough fabric, and lotions that don’t fix the problem but stain my cotton – WILL THIS CURSE EVER END? Keep reading, and we’ll let you know why you have dry hands, and how you can effectively solve your dry hand dilemma!

Why are my Hands dry?

Whether you want to believe it or not, there are some fabrics that absolutely leech your sewing hands of their natural oils. Cotton and Micro-Fibre, are definite contestants in robbing your skin in what it needs the most. This can cause issues such as hangnails snagging on fabric, sometimes causing actual snags in fabric! (OUCH!) Not only can this cause hangnails, but continual irritation can cause painful rashes over your Sewing Hands. Gloves In A Bottle® naturally helps combat dry skin, and helps rejuvenate skin to where it was before!

Toxic Fabrics?

Something else I found out while on my journey to fixing my sad, dry, sewing-hands, was that the fabric you know and love is maybe not as safe as we once thought. There are certain fabrics that contain chemicals such as, dihydric alcohol, terephthalic acid, polyacrylonitriles, and acetone. Some of the chemicals found in fabric have been found to be cancerous and can cause Contact Dermatitis. As Gloves in a Bottle® is a barrier cream, you would not have to worry about contaminants getting into your skin because Gloves in a Bottle acts as a barrier against outside irritants.

Sewing Hands’ Hero?

If you haven’t heard, there is a new lotion on the block that will help from Dry Hands – Skin Conditions, its name is Gloves In A Bottle®! Gloves in a Bottle® is a Shielding Lotion™ that will not only combat your dry skin but maintain your skin’s natural glow. Gloves In A Bottle® bonds to the top layer of skin keeping natural oils in, and toxic irritants out. You’ll be back to sewing with happy Sewing Hands in no time!
