Eczema Caused by Contact With Allergens May Have Met Its Match

About a year ago, researchers began working on developing a drug that inhibits absorption of allergens through the skin. Their goal was to prevent allergens from reaching other parts of the body and thereby reduce the incidence of eczema, asthma, hay fever and allergic rhinitis. There is no news as of yet on this drug, but eczema sufferers may now have a topical option – shielding lotion - that will accomplish the same goal. Thousands of doctors are now recommending a shielding lotion for eczema treatment, and it’s working.

How does a shielding lotion prevent and treat eczema caused by contact with allergens? The outer layer of the skin is composed of dead skin cells, oils and fats. This layer is designed to protect the deeper layers of the skin from irritants and toxins. When the surface layer is damaged, the protection is stripped away.

A good shielding lotion bonds with the outer layer of the skin to form a new protective layer that replaces the layer that is damaged. The new layer keeps out chemicals, toxins and other substances that can cause an allergic reaction.

Here’s the story of one person who found relief from a very severe situation.

“Since 1969, my skin has been plagued with topical allergies in the form of an itchy rash after ear-lobe piercing followed by implants of 18 carat gold posts. It started out with a reaction to gold, other metals and plastics. By 1973, I could not handle raw tomatoes or green pepper, or adhesive tapes. In 1993, the reaction was full blown, with my being unable to touch any fresh vegetables, fruits, bread, grass, and flowers without gloves.

”Under dermatologists' care all this time, I finally had to resort to plastic gloves to cook in. I was allergic to the plastic, so wore white cotton gloves underneath. The problem with this was that my cooking would be interrupted every five to ten minutes so I could remove the gloves so I could cool off my hands to prevent the exacerbation of my latent eczema.

”With passion, I love cooking and eating. With your shielding lotion, I can now do things like hold a tomato, plum or peach with my bare hand, and hold it as I slice! I can fiddle around with all the chopping I want for Asian stir-fry in half the time. I can go outside and caress a tree, a blossom, a rose. My gratitude is manifold.”

If you have a problem with eczema that flares up on contact with allergens, toxins or other substances and are looking for effective eczema treatment, give shielding lotion a try.
